Various algae species have therefore developed an effective UV protection mechanism. One of these is the red alga <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Porphyra\">Porphyra<\/a> umbilicalis, which grows on rocky coasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Active ingredients of Porphyra Umbilicalis Extract<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It contains a UV-A absorbing substance (Porphyra-334).
