Today&#8217;s distribution area includes all subtropical areas of Central America, Africa and Asia.<br>Liquid extracts or the essential oil of the ripe fruit are used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Active ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main ingredients are monoterpenes (limonene, linalool, geraniol, citral), sesquiterpenes (farnesol), aldehydes and organic acids (citric acid).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Effect<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lime oil has an antioxidant effect (free radical scavenging properties).
