Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract (INCI)

Origin of Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract

Antarcticine is a glycoprotein (a compound of protein and sugar) produced by the bacterium Pseudoalteromonas Antarctica, which lives only in Antarctica.

Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract helps the skin retain its moisture and prevents dehydration. It has a “cryoprotective effect” (frost protection) due to the ability to change the structure of ice crystals.
The skin is protected from the cold. In addition, Antarcticine stimulates fibroblast adhesion and keratinocyte growth, which has a regenerative and wound-healing effect on the skin. Thus, the synthesis of collagen increases, the skin structure improves and the skin becomes more elastic.
The depth of wrinkles is reduced, especially in the area of the forehead and eyes.
